The outcome: We extended the terrace to catch the afternoon sun and allow the garden to be used for as much of the day as possible. The terrace was created with the family in mind, it was become a truly special place to spend time with friends and family. With areas to socialise, cook for a large gathering keeping warm by the fire and seating comfortably well into the evening.

All the areas of this terrace compliment both the rest of the garden and the feel of the house. The careful choice of plants helps to make the space feel alive, vibrant and still warm and inviting while working seamlessly with the need for modern features. While the terrace has been enlarged, the changes in levels and changes in ‘rooms’ within the terrace, from kitchen to lounge to dining area means it always feels inviting never too big.
