Oakleigh Park
Brief: After years of not using their swimming pool in the rear of the garden, our clients decided it was time to turn this area into a garden that they wanted to use and explore. The client is very aware of current environment and wanted to consider this when planting the garden
The outcome: The rear of the garden is a real sun trap, but there needed to be a way of encouraging people down to this portion of the garden. The creative use of planting and gravel pathways does just that, visually it entices one and makes one explore and move through the garden before settling to enjoy a drink , a meal, a catch up with friends while surrounded by beautiful drought tolerant planting. The planting is broken up with larger specimen trees and pots to create points of interest when walking around the garden.
